Overview
This is one of my concepts on creating non-destructing approach for ordering foods. Visually clear and straightforward ways that people can use easily. “Foodie on the Go” is just a name which I made up.
Problem
Some food ordering apps are complicated with many features, such as transportation, express, market, etc. Older people have difficulty on using these as they have a tons of features to be distracted.
Goal
The goal is to make it as simple as possible for users to use and only focus on the food ordering feature.
Users
For people who just want a few clicks to order food without being distracted from many other features in front of them, and for older people who are not familiar with technology,
My Role
Visual and interaction are the roles I focused on for this project.
Preparing the journey
For this concept, I created a user persona for people like Tiffany (image below) to see the problems clearly and focus first. And after that, we figured out what the user's journey would be like to use our app/product.

Wireframes
I believe that designs should always start with some wireframes on paper in order to quickly check what it would look like and which part does not make sense to put in a design. And then work on the low and high fidelities for the mockups.

Style Guide
The yellow helps build a friendlier feeling for users and, paired with simple white, creates a nice balance between friendly and clean. The type face is the iOS default, SF Compact family, which always helps simplicity and readability.

Foodie on the Go as a concept is an app that I think not only the targeted users but also the other user base would greatly benefit from. The straightforward approach to just food ordering will be crucial in some situations for some people. The primary difficulty I had while creating this app was that I felt that although there may be a better solution out there, we designed an experience that works well for most users..
What I learned
Foodie on the Go as a concept is something that I feel not only the targeted users but also the other types of users would greatly benefit from. The straightforward approach to ordering food will be crucial and faster on some occasions, for sure. The primary difficulty I had while making this concept was that, even though I would like to add some flare with drawings, I cannot draw. So I had to use some stock images. That’s why it would be really great if I could work with other professionals in the fields and learn from them, ask their ideas, and make a great product, even if it's just a concept.
